Frequently Asked Questions
With great care! We value all contributions made to the Hospice which will
help us continue to provide high standards of care.
Donations will be spent on all elements of service including specialist staff,
food, medication and equipment, heating, lighting, and general maintenance
of the Hospice building and facilities.
The Hospice provides Specialist Palliative Day Therapy for those who have a
life threatening illness. Referrals for Day Therapy, the Outreach Service or
other hospice services are made by District Nurses, Macmillan Nurses,
General Practitioners or Hospital Medical Staff. If you, or one of your family,
feel that you could gain benefit from attending the Hospice, please contact one
of the above Health Care professionals who will be happy to discuss referral
with you.
Following referral, patients will be assessed by a member of our Clinical Team.
The assessment visit will allow staff and guest to agree a treatment
programme which is tailored to meet an individual's specific needs.

There is no charge made, however, as an independent voluntary hospice,
charitable income provides the majority of the funds that we need to sustain
our much needed services. Therefore all contributions will be gratefully
received.
