Cash Generating Schemes
There are many ways in which you can help to raise money for Woodlands Hospice without actually having to give us cash yourself. See some of the different ways you can help below.
Foreign Coin Appeal
Have you ever come back from holiday with pockets of foreign change that you either can't or have never got round to changing back in to £s? Woodlands Hospice is able to generate money from donations of foreign coins of any country and denominations.
If you have any such change, next time you're passing the Hospice or our shop at 19 Walton Vale, please drop it in to us. We have a large collecting box in both the outpatient and inpatient receptions. If you want to take it into the shop, please put it in an envelope marked 'Foreign Coins'
Old Mobile Phones
Most people have at least one old unused mobile phone in a drawer somewhere in their home or place of work. Woodlands Hospice is able to recycle old mobile phones and make money for the patient care at the same time. So, next time you de-clutter your drawer, think of us and donate your old mobile phone. You will be helping terminally ill patients and doing your bit for the environment at the same time. Either post or drop any old phones in to our Hospice reception (UHA Campus) or take them in to the shop at 19 Walton Vale.
Are you in charge of mobile phones within your organisation? Does your company have shelves of old unused phones? If you've more than 20 old phones, we'll come and collect them from you.
