Woodlands Hospice is very fortunate in the support it receives from snooker legend John Parrott. Every year, John hosts a Golf Classic and teams from around the region are invited to take part.

This year's event took place on Friday 24th June at West Derby Golf Club and was once again a tremendous success raising in excess of £6,000 for Woodlands Hospice.
This year's winners were West Coast Plumbing, who have supported the event since 2006, with TES 2000 of Colchester taking second place followed by BES Wholesalers who came third.

The Longest Drive was won by Charles Tweed of Strategic Team Group from Glasshoughton.

The weather was very kind with the sun shining for the majority of the day's play.
The evening presentation dinner, auction and raffle were match funded through the Barclays Bank £4£ Community programme which helped boost the total raised. Our thanks go to the wonderful team at Barclays again for their continued support!

Our thanks also go to John himself for his steadfast support along with that of his wife and son Karen and Josh who helped serve refreshments at the half way house. Other thanks go to Club professional Stuart Danchin and his assistant Joe, the secretary and committee at West Derby for hosting the event and to all those who donated prizes and sponsored elements of the day including Alliance Print for sponsoring the menus, and to all the players and volunteers who helped make the day such a huge success! We look forward to welcoming you all back again next year.
We are now delighted to annouce that the John Parrott Golf Classic 2012 will take place on Friday 29th June. Please contact the Neil Beadman on 0151 529 2640 for further details.
