Many hospices across the UK are already benefiting from selling on eBay recognising the significant opportunities of online trading as more and more people opt for this convenient way of shopping.
We are delighted to inform our supporters that we have now signed up to run an eBay for Charity scheme which will help us maximise on all the benefits as a charity seller and will be going ‘live’ with the scheme in March/April. Through eBay for Charity we will be able to sell donated items to raise funds, benefiting from an online marketplace. eBay for Charity fee credits mean the costs of trading on eBay are virtually zero for charities, and charities’ items receive extra promotion and visibility on the site.
Additionally, if you are selling on eBay.co.uk you can donate between 10% and 100% of an item’s final sale price to the Hospice, with a minimum of £1 donation per listing. We have established an e-bay group within the hospice, predominantly made up of volunteers, to run the scheme to ensure the various tasks and activities are managed and co-ordinated effectively.
The e-bay scheme will be run from our Hospice shop in Walton Vale and will help boost income at the shop along with introducing new supporters to the Hospice through our online trading activities. If you have any items that you would like to donate for us to sell on eBay or would like to discuss further in the first instance please contact Carole Riley. (See Contact us section).
