It was so lovely to meet Roxanne Hallett (10) this week when she visited the Hospice and shared her story how she had raised £277.98 in aid of the Hospice.
Roxanne decided to help Woodlands through selling items to her friends and teachers at Merchant Taylor’s School that she had made along with others donated by friends.
Her mum Magdaleen had stayed at the Hospice until she passed away in August and Roxanne was keen to support us. When planning her table sale Roxanne had thought she might raise just over a £100 but she actually raised £533 which she shared between Woodlands and Cancer Research.
Whilst all donations to the Hospice are important it is particularly encouraging when the donation and fundraising is done by such a young person. Roxanne is such an inspiration to others and should be very proud of her achievements. Thank you so much Roxanne.
