Who Can Volunteer:-

Everyone from the age of 16 – previous experience not always necessary, but reliable caring individuals with a sense of humour.

Why Get Involved:-

You can meet new people, make new friends, learn new skills and contribute to the care and wellbeing of the guests at Woodlands.

What Can I Get Involved With?

Woodlands Hospice needs volunteers in all of the following areas:-

• Drivers - To transport patients from home to hospice
• Hairdressers - To help patients feel good about themselves
• Day Care Support - To provide a warm friendly welcome, refreshments and lunch.
• Gardeners - To maintain the hospice garden
• Receptionists - To answer phones and greet guests and visitors to the hospice.
• Clerical Support - Various tasks including filing, general office duties and database input.
• Shop Assistants - Working at our hospice shop in Walton Vale

All volunteers will receive training and support to carry out their duties. Out of pocket expenses are provided. Hours can be arranged to suit individual needs.
