In Memory Donations
Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a way of celebrating the life of someone special and helps the hospice to continue to provide the special care we provide to our patients, their families and carers. There are a number of ways of making an in memoriam donation:
In Memory Envelopes
More and more or often families choose to request family flowers only, with donations to the hospice in lieu of other flowers at the funeral.
Woodlands can provide you with in memoriam envelopes directly or via your funeral director, which enable us to claim an additional 25% gift aid on each donation in memory of your loved one (if applicable). These envelopes also allow us to thank everyone who makes a donation personally.
The envelopes can be used for cash or cheque donations with cheques being made payable to Woodlands Hospice. You can either drop the donation envelopes off at the hospice or the funeral director will forward them on to us. (Please ensure if you decide to post any donations to the hospice that the envelopes do not contain cash).
Credit or Debit Cards
You can also make a donation via credit or debit card. To do so please call 0151 529 2968 or 4143 to speak to a member of the fundraising team.
You can set up your own In Memoriam fundraising page on www.justgiving.com or virginmoneygiving.com. This way the donations and any gift aid are paid directly to the Hospice and people can add some words of support and share their memories of a loved one at the time of making the donation.
For any 'in memoriam' donations, please ensure you state the person's name when making the donation so we can link the payment to your loved one.
