Living Support Group
On completion of the Supportive Living Programme most patients choose to attend the Living Support Group.
This is an informal group for patients to continue to meet with their peers. It also continues to give patients the opportunity to meet in a sensitive environment in which they can share their feelings, experiences, gain mutual support make friends and gain confidence. Patients often find it helpful to talk about aspects of their disease with someone not emotionally or personally close. A nurse-led clinic runs alongside this group enabling the patient to be reviewed by the appropriate multi-disciplinary staff member to address any symptom issues or requirements which may arise as the patient’s condition changes.
