Fundraising Support Groups
For many years Woodlands Hospice has benefited from the ongoing support of Fundraising Support Groups.
Such groups are geographically based, and some past and present groups included Crosby, Aintree, Maghull and Old Roan Support Groups.
On average the groups organise two fundraising events a year. One group 'Diamond in the Sky' organises two charity balls and dinners a year which are very popular. The Old Roan Support group organises teas and coffees at the winter flu clinics with proceeds coming to Woodlands Hospice. Other events organised include Christmas and Easter Bingos, Quiz Nights, Christmas Fetes, Victorian Christmas Fayres and many other events reflecting the skills and interest of the group.
We are very keen to further develop the wonderful work undertaken by our Fundraising Support Groups.
The groups, which will be supported by Woodlands Hospice Fundraising staff, will plan their own local programme of activity for the months ahead. Such activities could include bag packs and bucket collections, charity nights, lunches, bingos, quiz nights, coffee mornings, fetes - in fact anything that will help raise money at a local level.
We are particularly keen to establish more groups throughout the area served by Woodlands Hospice.
If you are enthusiastic, have a few hours to spare and think that you could help to set up such a group with your friends and family or other supporters in your area please contact Christine on 0151 529 8117 for an informal chat or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
