Volunteer Co-ordinator

30 hours per week (WTE 37.5)

Salary Scale £21,486 to £25,976 per annum, pro rata (Depending on experience) Woodlands Payscale points 18-22

Due to promotion of the current postholder, Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust, based on the Aintree Hospital campus, is looking to recruit a Volunteer Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for our 200+ volunteer workforce, who provide invaluable support in the hospice in a variety of roles, our charity shops and out in the community.

The role requires the candidate to 

  • Have excellent  organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be self-motivated and able to manage and coordinate a busy workloadBe approachable, adaptable and confident. 

As a small local charity it is important that the individual appointed will be willing to involve themselves in the life of the hospice, be flexible in their support and work with a close, committed team of non-clinical staff in the best interest of our patients and their families.

Staff Nurse (Preceptorship)

Start Date – September/­October 2019

Starting Salary Scale £24,214 plus enhanced rates for nights/­weekends.

Contract of employment is with Woodlands Hospice however the pay scale mirrors NHS Agenda for Change Band 5

We are looking for an exceptional, compassionate, newly qualified Staff Nurse to join our dedicated multi professional team on our Inpatient Unit providing symptom management and complex end of life care to our patients living with a life limiting condition.

The successful candidate will be supported through a comprehensive preceptorship programme to develop their skills and confidence in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based patient care and for providing invaluable support to the patient’s family.

The working pattern will be mainly day shifts with rotation onto nights to cover absences.
