Wellbeing and Support Centre
Woodlands Hospice Wellbeing and Support Centre offers a range of specialist services for patients and their families who are living with a life-limiting illness.
Why would I attend the Wellbeing and Support Centre?
You may be referred to the Wellbeing and Support Centre by any professional involved in your care if you are experiencing difficulties or have concerns relating to your illness or treatment. These might include:
- Physical Symptoms
- Emotional Concerns
- Planning for the future
If you are finding it hard to manage day to day activities that are important to you because of your symptoms or your treatment, attending the Well-being and Support centre may be helpful.
The staff and volunteers aim to support people to lead as full and independent life as possible. The clinical team offer assessment, rehabilitation, symptom management, complementary therapy and emotional support, and are available to answer your concerns.
You may wish to attend a one to one appointment or attend a group.
Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and complementary therapies may also be provided in your own home should you not be able to travel to Woodlands.
Accessing services at the Wellbeing and Support Centre also gives you an opportunity to meet other people who may be facing similar things to you in a caring and friendly environment.
