Over the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August, Woodland's Hospice welcomed families, friends, and supporters to its annual Forget Me Not Weekend, a special event dedicated to remembering and celebrating the lives of loved ones.
Across both days, visitors came to the hospice grounds to collect their beautiful Forget Me Not flowers, each one carrying a personal dedication and serving as a lasting tribute to someone special. The event provided an opportunity for families to spend time reflecting, sharing memories, and feeling connected with others who have experienced loss.
Thankfully, the weather was kind, making it a lovely weekend for everyone who attended. The gardens offered a peaceful setting where visitors could take a moment to pause, remember, and appreciate the special tributes on display.
The atmosphere throughout the weekend was filled with warmth, support, and togetherness. Many people spent time walking through the grounds, finding their flowers, and sharing stories about the loved ones they were remembering. It was heartwarming to see so many families and friends coming together to honour those who remain forever in their hearts.
Forget Me Not Weekend continues to be one of Woodland's Hospice's most meaningful annual events, providing a space for remembrance while celebrating the lives and memories of those we have lost.
Woodland's Hospice would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part, visited the hospice over the weekend, and supported the event. Your ongoing support helps us continue providing specialist care and support to patients and their families across our community.
Together, we remembered, reflected, and celebrated lives that will never be forgotten.
