Harleigh and Ava are excited about the Lantern Walk

Two very excited cousins Harleigh (3) and Ava (4) visited us at the Hospice recently to share why they were taking part in our Lantern Walk on Saturday 29th October.

Harleigh and Ava are taking part in the 2K sponsored Walk in memory of their Nin (Great Grandma) Margaret Carr who had been a patient at the Hospice. They are hoping people will sponsor them to help Woodlands. Whilst we met to discuss the walk they shared their love of sausage and chips, Haribos, lollipops, Halloween trick or treat - and of course how much they loved their Nin.

They are looking forward to dressing up for the Lantern Walk, Harleigh as a Good Witch and Ava a Bad Witch! They are hoping to run, look for acorns and conkers, and shout ‘Boo’ really loud during the walk. The two little ones were dressed the same for their visit as it was tradition that Nin and Pops bought them the same outfits, and they looked so smart in their lovely red dresses.

If you would like to take part in our Lantern Parade it is not too late to register with the closing date being Monday 24th October. You can this online at www.lanternwalk.org, or call Tracy on 0151 529 8193 for a registration form.

If you are not able to take part but would like to sponsor Harleigh and Ava you can do so by visiting www.justgiving.com/HarleighandAva
