Patient Drop-In Groups at Woodlands Hospice

At Woodlands Hospice, we know that wellbeing is about more than just physical health. Sometimes, having a place to connect with others, enjoy a change of scenery, and take a little time for yourself can make all the difference.

Our Patient Drop-In Groups offer a welcoming and supportive space for patients under the care of Woodlands Hospice. Whether you're looking to meet new people, enjoy a chat over a cup of tea, get involved in arts and crafts, or simply spend time in the company of others, our doors are open to you.

There's no expectation to talk about your situation or share your experiences unless you want to. Everyone attends for different reasons, and we are here to support you in whatever way feels right for you.

The groups take place in our beautiful Garden Room overlooking the hospice gardens, providing a relaxing environment where patients can come together and enjoy a change of scenery. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, and there are optional arts and crafts activities for anyone who would like to get involved.

Our dedicated volunteers and Patient & Family Services Team are also on hand to offer support and help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone attending.

Many people find that the groups give them something to look forward to each week, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and providing an opportunity to build meaningful connections with others.

If you're under the care of Woodlands Hospice and would like to discuss attending one of our Patient Drop-In Groups, we'd love to hear from you.
