Woodlands Hospice was honoured when it was chosen for the second consecutive year to be one of two charities to benefit from the monies raised at the Liverpool Hospitality Awards which took place on Thursday 26th October 2017 at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.

The Award Ceremony is held in recognition and celebration of the city’s thriving Hospitality Industry, honouring its ‘Heroes’ from Liverpool’s top Hotels and Restaurants. Over 300 Industry guests attended the glittering ceremony at the iconic Titanic Hotel with Liverpool’s Hoteliers Association, representatives of Liverpool’s Restaurant Association (newly merged to form the Liverpool Hospitality Association) and World Class Service to enjoy a fabulous evening of good food, drink and entertainment.

The Ceremony was not only successful in honouring the industry’s finest staff and providing a wonderful night for guests, but it also raised more than £20,000 – a fantastic achievement!

This money will be split between the two chosen beneficiaries for the event, which are: Hospitality Action; a trade charity that offers a lifeline to people of all ages working or retired from the Hospitality Industry that face serious difficulties from poverty to bereavement to homelessness or illness; and of course, Woodlands Hospice.

Woodlands Hospice has supported the local hospitality industry for many years, hosting many of our own events within some of Liverpool’s finest hotels and restaurants and, likewise, we’ve been supported by them in return. This wonderful recognition strengthens our relationship and the money raised from this event will make a massive difference to our patients and service users so we couldn’t be happier!”
