Knit and Crochet for Woodlands Hospice
Do you love to knit or crochet? Your skills can make a real difference for our patients, families, and local community. By creating small handmade items, you’ll be helping us raise vital funds and bring comfort to those we care for.
Fundraising Creations
Throughout the year, we sell a range of beautifully crafted knitted and crocheted items to support our hospice. These include:
Knit-a-chick
What We Need:
- Your knitting skills (we've got a lovely pattern for you below!)
- Cream eggs for our knitted chicks!
- Cut-off date for last delivery: 16th March 2025.
How Your Knitting Will Help:
Your cream egg donations will not only make our Easter egg hunt even sweeter, but they'll also fill our beautiful, hand-knitted chicks, which we sell in the community.
If you've got the knitting know-how, use the pattern below to create some adorable chicks that we can sell to raise funds for Woodlands. It's a fun way to get creative and help our cause!

Gifts of Comfort

Alongside fundraising, we also share handmade items with our patients and their families:
Worry Worms
Little companions to bring comfort in difficult moments
Our Ted
A friendly teddy given to patients and loved ones as a symbol of care and support
Hearts
A small token of comfort for patients and their families
Flowers for Our Community Wall
In our café, we have a Community Flower Wall, where crocheted, knitted, paper, and any other material you can think of, flowers bloom all year round. These colourful creations brighten the space, offering a place of reflection, remembrance, and community spirit.
