What is involved in a Public Collection

Our collection volunteers work in pairs and are allocated a two-hour shift, which involves collecting cash donations from the public using our collection buckets or tap machine. Our collections may be at a supermarket or outdoors, supporting choirs or performers at local events.

Our collection volunteers find it so rewarding when we let them know how much each collection raised, as they can see how a little bit of their time helped their local hospice in such a big way.

If you're a supermarket community champion or work in a garden centre, theatre or venue with lots of footfall, please get in touch with our Community Partnerships Manager, Wendy Williamson:

📧 wendy.williamson@liverpoolft.nhs.uk   |   📞 0151 529 2640   |   📱 07955 282148

On these days, we often set up a small table to raise awareness of our cause and the services we provide to give the day a real community feel.
